Graduation is the culmination of a long academic journey that students have gone through. For the Faculty of Law, Potential Main University, the 2023-2024 Academic Year Bachelor graduation was a historic moment which saw 14 graduates successfully completing their studies after years of education. This graduation ceremony is not just a ceremony, but also a symbol of the transformation from students to law graduates who are ready to face the challenges of the professional world.
This year's graduation ceremony for Bachelor of Law at the Main Potential University was held solemnly and full of pride. The event, which was held at the Medan Selecta Building, on December 8 2024, was attended by graduates, their families, as well as a number of invited guests consisting of the Chair of the Region I North Sumatra Higher Education Service Institution, Mr. Prof. Drs. Saiful Anwar Matondang, M.A., Ph.D, and the Chair of APTISI for the North Sumatra Region, namely Mr. Dr. H. Muhammad Isa Indrawan, S.E., M.M.
The event began with an opening ceremony which began with remarks from the Chancellor of Potential Main University, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Rika Rosnelly, S.Kom., M.Kom, who in her speech expressed her pride in the achievements achieved by the graduates and encouraged them to continue serving society through the knowledge they have acquired. Not only that, thanks to all the parents of the graduates who have provided enormous support to the graduates so far until they succeeded in obtaining their academic degrees this year.
A meaningful welcome and self-motivating messages were also given to all graduates by the Chair of the APTISI North Sumatra Region (Dr. M.Kom) who was represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Mrs. Fani Budi Kartika, S.H., M.H, then by the Chair of the Region I Higher Education Service Institution North Sumatra (Prof. Drs. Saiful Anwar Matondang, M.A., Ph.D), representatives of graduates from the English Language Education Study Program by Tiara Fahira Putri Armi, and representatives of parents of graduates Chairunnisa from the Software Engineering Study Program, namely Mrs. Zulfa Hafni Lubis, S. Pd.
The series of events continued with the procession of handing over diplomas to the graduates, which officially marked their success in completing their Bachelor of Law studies. In this procession, the best graduates who have demonstrated academic achievements and extraordinary contributions also received special awards, which were handed over directly by the Chancellor of Potential Main University.
The graduates and their families welcomed the event with extraordinary enthusiasm. Several graduates expressed gratitude for this success, while their parents felt proud to see their children successfully complete their education in this very prestigious field. “I am very proud today, my son has completed his studies well. "Hopefully the knowledge gained can be useful for society," said Mrs. Zulfa Hafni Lubis, S.Pd, parent of Chairunnisa, one of this year's best graduates.
As law graduates who have just graduated, graduates are expected to immediately apply the knowledge they have gained in the practical world. Many of them are already preparing to continue their education at a higher level, while others are ready to enter the world of work, either as lawyers, judges, notaries, or other legal professions. The Dean of the Faculty of Law said, "I believe the graduates have great potential to change the face of the world of Indonesian law. Never stop learning, and continue to contribute to creating a more just and dignified society.”
Graduation for Bachelor of Law at the Main Potential University for the 2023-2024 Academic Year ended with joy and hope for a brighter future. The graduates not only take home a Bachelor of Laws degree, but also a big responsibility as holders of the mandate to uphold law and justice in this country.
With the enthusiasm they have shown during their studies, the Faculty of Law at Potential Main University believes that they will continue to make positive contributions to society and the nation.
